Bring your podcasts to PurerPodcasts

You don't have to move everything at once

You can listen to PurerPodcasts in your browser, on iPhone and on Android. Find a familiar show, follow it, and try your normal listening routine. A subscription adds automatic ad skipping on selected feeds. Subscribers can also generate transcripts for downloaded episodes outside their selected ad-skipping feeds.

On the web or phone, find public podcasts, add supported private RSS URLs, or import your subscriptions with OPML. Keep your old player until you've checked that the shows you need are available.

Move subscriptions with OPML on web or phone

OPML is a file containing a list of podcast feeds. If your current player offers an OPML export, use that to save your subscription list.

1. Export the subscription list from your existing podcast player.
2. On the web, open Settings → Import or export OPML and select that file. On your phone, open the OPML import feature.
3. Review the feeds and any private-feed classifications before completing the import.
4. Check the imported shows in your library, then choose which feeds you want to enable automatic skipping for within your plan.

Menu locations and supported options can vary by app version. If you cannot find the import feature, ask us for help with your device and app version.

Adding a private RSS feed

If a podcast membership provides a private RSS URL, you can add a supported feed to PurerPodcasts. Keep that URL private: it may contain the access token for your membership. You still need the publisher's subscription or permission to access its episodes.

On the web, open Private feeds, paste the RSS URL, and turn on analysis when you add it if you want automatic skipping. It uses one of your plan’s selected-feed slots. PurerPodcasts analyzes the latest episode, then checks for new releases automatically—even when your browser is closed. Keep the private URL out of messages and screenshots.

How new private-feed episodes are discovered

For private RSS feeds with analysis enabled, PurerPodcasts checks for newly published episodes about every 15 minutes, then analyzes the audio. This interval describes private-feed discovery, not analysis duration or a wait each time you press play. Episodes with completed analysis already have their detected ad markers available. Not every exclusive podcast is supplied as an RSS feed. Check the publisher's delivery options rather than assuming every platform-only show can move to another player.

What transfers to your new player?

An OPML import brings a subscription list, not a complete backup of another app. Don't assume it transfers downloaded files, playlists, listening history, playback positions, or paid memberships.

Use the same PurerPodcasts account when you sign in on the web. Check the membership shown on your account before purchasing a new subscription. Imported subscriptions from another player do not transfer that player’s purchases.

Downloads stay on each device

Your PurerPodcasts account library and listening progress sync on supported apps when connected. Audio files do not transfer between devices. On the web, use Download in the episode player and keep the tab open until it finishes. Browser storage can be cleared or evicted; the phone apps offer their own offline downloads.
